Bein’ Green
Bein’ Green
In 1970, the late Joe Raposo penned Bein' Green, a song sung so well by Kermit the Frog. He also wrote C is for Cookie, a song sung so well by Cookie Monster. Raposo composed the Sesame Street theme song, too. Though, I'd hope he wouldn't sanction its rapid contemporized version. In Bein' Green, Kermit laments his muted color scheme. Yet, ultimately appreciates green is a beautiful thing. How prescient given green's presently superlative connotation.
And green is the color of money.
Usually, after filing for bankruptcy, a person is limited to secured credit cards. That is, plastic backed by actual money in the bank. It kind of defeats the convenience of credit, but it allows one to rebuild a credit record. One operates with greenbacks in the hand instead of credit in the bush. It's not easy only spendin' green, but it keeps debt at bay.
And green is a beautiful thing.
